After a delightfully cool Christmas Day the Woodford Folk Festival is preparing to welcome a record number of pre-sale Season Campers to its lush green fields. A season of gentle rain has added a freshness to the beautiful tree-covered site less than an hour north-west of Brisbane. Boxing Day will see several thousands of Season campers arriving to make their home for the week from 27th December 2007 to the 1st of January 2008.
Day visitors and season campers alike will be treated to a fantastic first day of concerts, workshops and talks on December the 27th, with over twenty stages and a Children's festival running from 8am to late at night and early the next morning.
The Amphitheatre will host Aria award winner Sarah Blasko, Blue King Brown and Jackson Jackson, while the Concert stage features Tripod, John Schumann & the Vagabond crew. The Grande sees The Toothfaeries, Angus and Julia Stone, and Custom Kings, but that really is only the tip of the iceberg. These popular stars will join the numerous talented performers and artists that many a new audience has yet to discover.
Tickets for every day of the festival, and all days of the festival for those inspired to join in the fun, are available on-line at www.woodfordfolkfestival.com. Buying and printing tickets on-line saves money and time. Tickets will also be available at the gate, for Season tickets from the 26th, and for all other days from the 27th to the 1st.
