A Community Resource Centre has
been opened at Caboolture to provide information to the local community
about Equine Influenza (EI).
Located at the Department of Primary Industries & Fisheries (DPI&F) office at 71 King Street, the office will be open for 8am to 6pm Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
To stop the spread of this highly contagious virus, DPI&F is working hard to ensure every member of the community is aware of how the virus is spread and how it can be contained.
Details of how to kill the virus (detergent and disinfectant and exposure to sunlight) and how to manage decontamination of a site are available from the Caboolture office.
Individuals or groups wishing to be kept informed on a regular basis should contact staff at the Community Resource Centre by visiting or calling the centre on 5495 6910 or 5499 2480.
