THE Busy Needles ladies, who meet fortnightly in the Senior Citizens Rooms, were pleased to welcome Kim Rivers from Preterm Infants Parents Association (PIPA) to their meeting last Thursday.
All the tiny booties, beanies, jackets, pram covers, shawls and other garments first used by the premature babies in various Brisbane, Gold and Sunshine Coast hospitals were made by the local ladies with love and given to this group with love were gratefully received.
Also visiting was Kim?s daughter Laura Rivers who started her life 11 years ago as a 750 gram baby.
It was just great to have 31 of the ladies present at the meeting.
The next meeting is April 27 and is a Bring and Buy
