A Volunteers Information Morning will be held at the Maleny Community
Centre from 10am to noon today October 20. Bridget Sparks from the
Information Centre has organised the event. Speakers/topics include:
* QPWS - A 15 min film clip - Great Walks
(Cheryl Thomson, Ranger);
* BRBTA - An overview of their activities
* (Toni Alison, (immediate past V.P.); Chamber of Commerce - An overview of
their function (Steve Dittman, Member);
* Caloundra Tourism - An explanation of their
role (Tony Gill, board member);
* Caloundra VIC - The ?Big Barrel? plan & how that will impact on us. Chrissy Vass, Acting Team Leader, and Polly Huthnance, Acting Visitor Information Manager Question time will be from 11am to noon.
"It is my intention to foster a closer collaboration amongst the associated groups who are directly related with the tourism industry of the Blackall Range," said Bridget.
