"This parade is designed to celebrate the support that IGA has given to clubs and associations over many years," said Sam. The parade will begin at Cook Park (top of Maple Street) and conclude at Tesch Park (bottom of Maple Street), at 2.30pm for a 3pm parade start.

As an incentive parade organizers will be looking for the most creative group to decorate an IGA shopping trolley in a theme that is associated with their club/association, said Sam Archer.
The best-decorated trolley will be judged at a sausage sizzle at the end of the parade and a cash donation will be awarded to the winning club.?

Two Market Days are better than one
Maleny Chamber of Commerce is planning two Market Days next week (Nov 3&4) to coincide with Maleny IGA's Centenary Celebration.
"We had over 35 retail businesses take part in the last one," said Stephen Dittmann. "The whole idea is to encourage retail activity. We wanted to boost the level of activity and boost retailers' morale and confidence."
