Maleny people came out in force last week as the town celebrated 100
years of trade from the Universal Providers Building in Maple Street.
The four day celebration culminated in a festival-style parade on
Saturday attended by about 2000 people.

| Maleny Supa IGA owner Rob Outridge was overwhelmed by the response. "It exceeded our expectations tenfold,'' he said.
"We are humbled by the way our community has shown its appreciation for 100 years of business from this very site.
It just shows that if you support your community, your community will support you."
On Thursday crowds flocked to the Cultural Events organised by Wendy Nugent.
Entertainment rolled on throughout the day including poets, speeches, singing, dancing and art in the street.
On Friday people were enthralled by historical displays and interviews of Maleny identities at the community centre (more on this in coming weeks).
On Friday night IGA shared the spotlight in a joint function which also marked the Maleny Community Centre's 50th birthday.
On Saturday more than 300 people attended a successful historical display at the Maleny History Society's Priscilla Cottage.
Hundreds also attended Robyn Whitehead's Maleny Pony Club Equestrian Extravaganza organised to thank IGA for its support.
Then Maple Street was jam-packed with celebrations as upwards of 2000 people flocked in to either join or witness the finale on Saturday.
