Quota International of Maleny
Inc. are hosting their 5th annual Quilt Show at the Malent State High
School Activities Centre, Bunya Street, Maleny on Saturday 3rd May and
Sunday 4th May 2008. The doors will open from 9.30am - 4.30pm
Saturday and until 4.00pm Sunday.
This year Quota will have Breast cancer quilts on display from Toowoomba, to accompany the many quilts from different groups of the Hinterland.
The men haven’t been forgotten this year as our local train group are having a mini train display. Quota are very happy to include this with our quilt show.
There will be a variety of stalls as well as sewing machines and quilting displays.
A multi draw raffle of homemade craft and preserves will be sold on the week-end. The main raffle is this beautiful quilt made by some of the Quota members. Tickets are $2 and the proceeds of this raffle will go to disadvantaged women and children and Speech and Hearing Impaired. This will be drawn Sunday at 3.30pm.
Refreshments will be available and the admission is $3.
